Custom Eternity vest for Anna Pehrssons Excavation Series I and II, Weld Stockholm, 2024
Photographer: Thomas Zamolo
About The Eternity Vest
Salome has created a series of garments under the conceptual framework of the Eternity Garments. These pieces are inspired by the architectural form of the vault. Beyond its visual and structural elegance, the vault holds symbolic significance: it is a void within a building that paradoxically enhances the building’s strength. This idea of absence reinforcing strength is central to the Eternity concept.
The Eternity Vest is part of this ongoing exploration and was specially created for Anna Pehrson. It is constructed from silk and upcycled lace, materials chosen for their delicacy and historical resonance. Garments made in silk belong to the “Soul Edition” of the Eternity Garments, a sub-collection that reflects the emotional and spiritual weight carried within the human experience.
The black silk pieces form the “Black Soul” edition. These were conceived following the passing of Salome’s father in 2020 and are intended to embody the complexity of grief—its duality as something both weightless and heavy.
Custom Golden Dress Designed for Liselotte Östblom for the Boreal Sun Performance at the Royal Albert Hall, March 12, 2025.
Photographer: Loria Boban
About The Golden Dress
Inspired by the lyrics of Boreal Sun’s song Gold:
“In every situation, everywhere you go,
there's an invitation to give the world your soul.
No one's gonna tell you what I'm about to say,
I'm giving you a message:
You’re made of gold!
Do you know what you are? You are golden…”
The Golden Dress is a wearable artwork crafted almost entirely from upcycled materials and found objects. The larger sequins, made from discarded plastics, are hand-cut and hand-painted.
The decision to work with reclaimed materials was central to the concept. While the word "golden" often connotes value, brilliance, and worth, the piece challenges conventional ideas of where such value lies. By repurposing discarded items, the work asserts that beauty and worth can emerge from what is overlooked or cast aside—just as every person has the potential to shine when nurtured in the right environment.
As with most of Salome’s custom creations, the dress is uniquely tailored to Liselotte’s body, making it a one-of-a-kind piece.
Custom Lion Hat for Jay MCK, as seen touring with Liv Warfield
Photographer: unknown
About The Lion Hat
The Lion Hat was created in dialogue with the artist Jay McK, whose spiritual animal is the lion. A gifted and powerful musician, Jay McK served as a central inspiration for Salome, who drew further conceptual depth from the biblical imagery found in Revelation 4:
“Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. The first living creature was like a lion…” (Revelation 4:6–7)
In this passage, the lion is one of the four celestial beings surrounding the throne—beings described as “full of eyes” and devoted to eternal worship. These “worship creatures” became a key motif in the hat’s design. Salome envisioned the piece as a symbolic tribute to Jay McK’s role as a musician—one who stands metaphorically “by the throne,” offering sound as a form of reverence and spiritual expression.
The Lion Hat, then, is a wearable blessing and an acknowledgment of Jay McK’s artistry as a musician.
